I don't remember filling out the paperwork to file a claim, but apparently I did. I just now received a check for $397 from the most recent Facebook class action lawsuit. I actually screamed when I saw the amount, LOL. This came at a good time, will be used to pay some bills

In 2021, Facebook agreed to a $650 million class action settlement to a suit that alleged it broke Illinois' biometric laws by collecting and storing users' physical characteristics without their consent. Nearly 1.6 million Facebook users in the state each received $397 payouts.

@sgraham30 ...  you join in all the class action lawsuits ??  Apparently you weren't aggrieved too harshly since you didn't remember joining in ...  exactly how were you hurt by Facebook ??

Maybe you didn't opt in, maybe you only have to opt out.

You don't have to file a claim in a class action suit. Class action suits are brought on behalf of a specific group or population. Any award is divided among them.  Sounds like every FB user in the state of Illinois received the check.
