don't know what is coming down the road and I want to be able to show my vaccination card (passport)? and right now it's free. May not be later.

I think you will need to keep the card.  I don't think this will over by next year.  Some people refuse to vaccinate.  It might be that in order to do certain things (Seniors doing physical exercise, etc. special gatherings, wedding, maybe even for certain types of employment, etc) you will have to show that you are vaccinated.  Not just on Airline trips either,  You will need the card for yearly vaccine (just as you did for the flu) This thing won't by over by 2023.   My school is scheduled to open in the fall.  I wonder if they will require students/employees  to be vaccinated?

As for V-safty thing.  I did register.  Apparently I missed it the first time I got confirmation  for a vaccine.  It's not mandatory.  They didn't ask if I did when I went there the first time.
