Received an email of apology from the U.S. Postal Service

Back in Mid June, I was notified that I would be receiving two packages from QVC.  After UPS delivered the packages to our main post office, my packages were sent to the wrong zip code post office.  Afterwards I tried to contact that post office of the error, but could never reach them.  I called the 800 number of the post office and made 2 claims (1 for each package)  At one point my claims expired after hearing nothing from them.  I had to remake the claims.

Today I received an email from the post office.  They apologized for any inconvenience and they will finally deliver my packages to my local post office.  This had happen twice before, but both times they saw the mistake and routed it over.  But for some reason this time, nothing was done.  But at least now, I'll be getting them.  One package was for shoes, the other one 2 tops.

@songbird Well, you got off better than me. UPS just cheerfully strows stuff around the neighborhood.  Got some things for another person not far away, but rather than call UPS, I just called Walmart and they said keep it and we'll ship another one.

They said I was right not to call UPS!  Ha.  Guess they know about UPS too!

@songbird    If you're missing a package (or 2) from QVC, you don't make a claim, that's for the shipper.  All you have to do is contact the mods at qvcsocialteam@qvc.com and they will either reship the item, if available, or issue a refund.  Just send a brief email with the order number and all will be taken care of.

@Kachina624 I talked to QVC about it.  I didn't want them to resend it, because I knew eventually I would receive the packages.  It was just a matter of time.  Instead I waited.  If I did not get it today, I would have contacted QVC for a refund. As it was, the missing packages arrived today. I didn't want to them to resend.  Then it would be packages sailing back and forth (in case I received the original packages from the post office).  I remember at one point, the lady on the phone (Post Office) told me to drive to the other post office and get it myself!  And I pay for Post Office service!  They deliver to me.

Re: Received an email of apology from the U.S. Postal Service

i need an apology from the US postal and QVC for a payment sent in that QVC claimed they did not get. No they did not get it, because 2 months later QVC sends me what was left of the check they received from me, I sent on time I might add. It got torn up in the post office apparently and sent on to QVC. Of course I was charged a late fee and probably a mark on my account for being a late payment. The QVC offices called me wanting to know why I had not sent payment, so of course I gave a credit card payment to them.

Both packages were delivered about an hour ago.  We get our mail late.  Usually around 8:00PM.  They are fine and I'll keep them.  Now I'm waiting for the JAI charm bracelet.  First they said it would be a delay, but now it's moving to the point where UPS hands it over to the post office.  I hope they won't screw up again. Smiley Surprised

It's so ironic that I was "pleading my case" about this last night.  If a package is lost in the mail, it's up to the shipper to track it and get it cleared up.  I found that the shipper in some cases, does not really want to be bothered.  I had to force the issue and then I was the bad guy......go figure...

Sorry....forgot to say....I didn't post about QVC.  If something's lost, QVC always stepped up.  I never have trouble with the Q and shipping BUT I bump up my shipping to express shipping and get it FAST UPS all the way.  So worth the extra bucks.

Re: Received an email of apology from the U.S. Postal Service

At least they gave you an apology!

I have had numerous problems with USPS with regular mail since the beginning of Covid.

Right now I am waiting on a security deposit check which I was told had been mailed to me weeks ago.  This was for the venue at my DD's wedding which was held the end of May and they sent out the check the week after the wedding....so now I have to see if they can put a stop on the check and issue a new one.  I told them if they can do that I would come in person to pick up the check and to please NOT mail it.

Another example my DD mailed an invitation to her wedding from Philadelphia to my brother in St. Louis.  It didn't arrive after a few weeks so she sent him another....took a month and both arrived at the same time.

I have other similar examples of problems with USPS but these are the most recent.  I just don't trust the mail any longer.

Wow, good for you!

I am currently missing all my mail including 2 QVC packages that supposedly were delivered yesterday per my USPS daily email ! What the heck is going on in the post office these days? I know our news shows have done segments on missing and stolen mail from the USPS employees themselves. Sad, isn't it?

So now I wait another day or so HOPEFULLY I'll receive my stuff!
