2/24/22 I finally received my Free Covid test kit from the government which I ordered 1/18/22.
Two boxes w/2 tests each = 4 tests.
Expiration date: 7/23/22 ![]()
I will test myself once a month starting in April. 😛

I received mine a couple of days ago. Oh geez, I didn't realize they had expiration dates on them. In that case, they are rather pointless. I doubt I'll have cause to test myself between now and July. Even if I do, certainly not four times. Seems like a big waste of kits.

@Citrine1 I know people who have used them and IMO they are not pointless. I got mine from the feds and state within just a few days of ordering.

I received mine very quickly. The concern was they came during bitter cold, freezing weather. I hope they work accurately.
My understanding was 4 tests per household was the allocation. That won't be enough for a family of 5 or 6, but just about right for the two of us. I think they were trying to encourage testing so people would know results in the privacy of their homes. Maybe it would help slow the spread.

@Citrine1 they are only pointless if you have no intention of testing yourself and if that's the case why order them. Everything from food to medical supplies has an expiration date. Maybe you can donate yours to essential workers who have kto test often.

Got mine this week too.
Anyone else notice where they were made?? Still laughing 😂

That's about when I ordered mine and I received them early last week. I was going to test myself last weekend but ran out of time.

You're misreading what I'm saying. Of course they aren't pointless (in general). I've done a few at home tests when I was worried that I might have covid. What I'm saying is that they are pointless for me because I doubt I'll find myself in a situation between now and July where I need to take the test. I'm fully vaccinated and I got the booster. I don't go anywhere that would put me in jeopardy. Now that's not to say that I won't feel the need to take a test for covid sometime in the next year or so, but probably not within the next few months.

How accurate is an Antigen test if you know you have been exposed to COVID but do not have any symptoms?
I am vaccinated and boosted but was 6 months ago. I know I had a pretty good exposure. My PCR test at CVS on day three was negative.
I have developed no symptoms.
The relative who had it (Omicron) was also vaccinated and spent the night.
She was positive on PCR test at CVS and also antigen test.
She was spending the weekend and developed a fever on the second day.
It has been a week since my exposure. Laying low and masking when I go out.
Thanks all!!

You misunderstood what I was saying too. Sigh
