Recalls of Crock Pot, Yeti, Mueller products

The Crock Pot 6-quart Express Crock Pot is being recalled because the unit " can pressurize when the lid is not fully locked.  This can cause the lid to suddenly detach while the product is in use, posing burn risks to consumers from hot food and liquids ejected from the product. Nearly a million units affected.

Yeti's 20-oz Rambler Mugs with Stronghold Lids are being recalled because "the magnet slider on the lid can eject and hot contents can spill out, posing injury and burn hazards." About a quarter-million units affected.

Re: Recalls of Crock Pot, Yeti, Mueller products

This is unexpected for the Yeti brand. Yeti products have a big following due to the, word of mouth,  quality of their items. Missed the mark with the mug.

How frightening about the crock pot, multi-cooker.  Now I know why I bought an Instant Pot over a year ago and haven't used it yet. I envision all the things that could go wrong.

@BlueFinch @Even the most trusted companies, ones that do all that they can to produce quality products, have had recalls.

Re: Recalls of Crock Pot, Yeti, Mueller products

DH and I are both Yeti fans ( combination of real Yeti and "faux"). We both use Yeti 20 oz tumblers that came with magnetic slides;  after several years of constant use we replaced the lids with generic version.  Our favorite Yeti product is Yeti ice ( we own 3; great for bringing ice cream back from Costco--3 to 4 hrs ).  We use Yeti Ice in several coolers that aren't Yeti ( they are knock offs but 1/3 the price ).  We also use Green Beast 30 oz tumblers ( different brand; only a little cheaper but they have detachable handles the multiple metal straws).
