I am not a country music fan but really always liked Reba. Few famous couples seem to beat the odds and stay together. I guess you root for them because if these people stay together it has to be love since they are rich, independent, attractive and have choices. In the real world you stay together for a lot of reasons other than love.

I am pretty certain that I remember that he was married to someone else and she came along and broke up that marriage. Karma? At any rate - once a cheater , always a cheater.

huh?
I didn't read about anyone cheating???
Why assume that was the reason??

Because once a cheater always a cheater.

Twenty-six year marriage, thirty-five year work relationship. I'd say they did pretty well in the grand scheme of things. Plus, he is going to stay her manager. Sounds like they just want to be friends. I wish them both well.

@151949, I would amend the axiom "once a cheater, always a cheater" to "once a serial cheater, always a serial cheater."
I have known people, both men and women, who cheated once and who were so disappointed in themselves that they would never do it again. I have also known my share of serial cheaters who aren't worth the time of day.

I feel marriage is a committment you make for the remainder of your life, not for X number of years, so to me, 26 years is NOT a successful marriage, and they did not at all "do pretty well."

In this case you have absolutely no facts to base your hard core theory on.

It's just sad when a previously happy marriage breaks up, whether the people are celebrities or just "regular" people. (The only reason to be glad about a divorce is if someone is getting out of an abusive relationship.)
And none of us knows the truth about someone else's marriage - only the two people involved know that, so I'd be the last person to pass judgement on the reasons for the breakdown.
I hope it's not true but, if it is, I wish them both well and that they find happiness and peace in the future, whatever it brings.
