Are we going to do this again? Lights are blinking, it's black outside, rain is coming down in buckets. The only silver lining in all this is that I've yet to have to turn on our sprinkler system this year ( sigh).

Another crazy storm much like the one that hit last week only so far I still have electricity. A clap of thunder made me jump out of my makeup chair just now.  It's raining so hard I can't see the trees across the street.  I've got places to go things to do and people to see. But, I'm having one fantastic makeup day 😊

@monicakm Your post has me cracking UP!!!😂😂😂 When I read of you jumping out of your makeup chair, I thought this must be serious! It has to be to pull a woman away from getting "prettyful"😁

Hopefully, the storm will soon pass!🤞🤞 I am accustomed to storms; living in the Pacific Northwest, but I have NEVER liked thunder!😐 If you want to see a Sparkle do a mad DASH, let thunder begin when I am outside.😁 I look for cover because lightning will likely soon follow somewhere! I am not making light of your situation, just trying to help lighten the mood.✨

Any thoughts about putting in a generator  if these storms become the " normal " ?

A lot, recently.  It is so rare for us to lose electricity though. A few years ago when the entire state of Texas was in a deep freeze and people with weeks with no power, we never lost power. I called The Electric Company and told them great job!

We have a local electrician coming to our home to give us an estimate for a generator and installation next week.

@monicakm   So sorry you are dealing with this.  Isn't Texas the only state not on the grid?

Texas has its own electrical grid and is the only state to have its own. I didn't know that off the top of my head, I Googled it. An electrical outage here is extremely rare. It didn't go out today, just blinked a couple of times
