Haven't you been to any department stores lately?? They are all decked out in a specific corner of the store already!

That's what I was wondering  .....  I was in a Big Lots 3 weeks ago and they had several decorated Christmas trees on the sales floor .... lights twinkling and everything!

I now have 1,000 reasons NOT to watch the Q. They've become soooo annoying, desperate and pushy.

Re: Really QVC Christmas Tree up on Oct. 3rd?

October is probably their biggest month selling for Christmas.

Because they are not brick and mortar, they have to ship everything.  I would think that their big holiday push would be October to end November.

However it may affect anyone personally, QVC is a business, and the holidays are the biggest sales potential for the entire year.

Greed?  They're a business.  Free enterprise, capitalism.  If you don't like it, you can certainly not watch.

Obviously people are watching, as they are selling.

These guys really know how to supersaturate the airwaves with their greed for Christmas. It takes away all the anticipation. Why don’t they just leave the trees up all year round and rename QVC The Christmas Store...woops, that’s been taken. I have another idea. Sell us Halloween and Thanksgiving-themed products and acknowledge that there’s a season called autumn.

That's not a money maker. You know that Christmas is the mother of all holidays, retail wise.

What can you sell for Thanksgiving? (Besides turkeys and some Pilgrim themed items.)  No one gets excited about that.

It's not nearly the commercial holiday that Christmas is.

I started seeing Halloween decorations up in July.  That's kind of early.

Retail is always several months ahead. It's the way the world is now with competition.

Years ago, there were just the certain brick and mortar stores.  There was no online competition.

Retailers have to do this to keep ahead.

I agree about the "it's retail". It is not only here.

ITA. And if people didn't buy into it the businesses wouldn't try to sell it.
