Who isn't overwhelmed? Due to my loneliness, I find I have more respect and empathy for families that have someone in the military serving actively.

Our son is a physician who has not seen his wife and 4 children in person for over 3 weeks.

My husband is a retired doctor who was called "back in" to help in NYC.  He left last Saturday.  I worry because last winter he suffered from blood clots in his lung and leg.  Even if he were off duty today, I could not see him for 14 days.

I am a cancer patient alone for who knows how long.

We all have crosses to bear but there is always someone who has a heavier one.

My heart goes out to you @lulu1 . I thank your entire family for their selflessness. I am in New York and the heroes of this world are the doctors, nurses and medical personnel who put their own lives in jeopardy for the benefit of others.

Thank you for sharing and I pray that your entire family stays well.

You're welcome. I lost my Mom to cancer in 2018. I don't know how you're dealing with all that you're dealing with, I think it's amazing. At my worst moments I will remember your situation and keep you in mind.

@RoughDraft

BTW, a teacher friend told me about Nakedwines.com.

I placed an order last week, and it appears that they also deliver to PA, in case you need to refresh your supply.

I haven't received my order, so I can't give a testimonial about the taste of the ones that I selected, but my friend was happy with her order.

Re: Realizing how overwhelmed I am right now

It's both humbling and heartaching to read the many challenges posters here are dealing with under these unusual circumstances.  My heart goes out to us all.

I try to conjure up some strength from people who have gone before us through hard times, I never really grasped the depth of living though despair that went on for years -- thinking of plagues and the Dust Bowl, the Great Depression that my mom spoke of.  Now we get a very real inkling.

If ever there was a time to decriminalize marijuania in every state, this is it.  For the sake of peoples' nerves and a reduction in alcoholism, a little nibble, no smoke, no dependence.  JMO

Hang on everyone.  The sun still shines, we can still carry on within our small worlds.  May we all find some ways to keep our minds busy and away from what we can't fix.
