I loved your post.
I can so relate to it.
Even last week, I ventured into the stores.
My daughter is going tomorrow and all of a sudden I don't want her to go at all.
I worry about getting or giving it to anyone just coming back from the store or her getting it, all my family still going to the store too.
The worry seems to intensify every week because it seems we can do all we can and still we just don't know if any of us will get it.
It truly is frightening.
Today I did not watch the news and felt okay and like it was a normal day.
But tonight watched a little and it was all so sad and scary again.
Well, as Scarlet said, tomorrow is another day. Hopefully!
Or maybe "the sun will come out tomorrow" is a better one.

Just keep trying to remind yourself that this too shall pass. We will be back to living our lives again soon. I'll say a little prayer for you, if that's okay.

@Linmo In Pennsylvania, liquor stores are controlled by the state and are closed. Just in the last year, certain supermarkets are starting to sell wine and beer. So far only about three or four (widely scattered) are licensed to sell. Beer is also available in what we call "Beer stores".
When I was at my supermarket today, (which is being remodeled in the midst of this insanity) two sides of one aisle is already set up to stock wine and beer, but so far, the shelves are empty. I don't know if they have to get some Papal or govenor blessing before they stock or if they're just waiting for shipments to come in.

@I am still oxox and others who are immunosuppressed - Please know others are thinking of you. I have a good friend who hasn't been out in public in two years because of a rare autoimmune disorder. As I might have said on another thread, she told me this has been her life. I can't see her unless we take a walk outside away from people, which means I haven't seen her in person since last fall.
I like @Porcelain's approach to things. I'm working at my part-time job from home, but I have no schedule, which is hurting me. Once we all were quarantined I thought of how much I could get done around the house, how many movies I would watch and books I could read. I haven't done much of anything! I keep telling myself I've got the whole month of April to do it! So if I don't get to it tomorrow, why should I worry about it? Talking to DH today I said something about the weekend, and he said something like, "What weekend? One day is the same as the other." That shook me up, but he's right.
So for now, I've given myself permission to sleep in, and watch a movie in the morning if I feel like it. DH has been going in a few days a week (but they are being very careful with him), but at night he can find any football game they've ever played. Tonight he was watching the Rose Bowl from 1992 or something. Oh well, at least he doesn't remember who won!
Sorry to be so wordy, but as others have said, we are all in the same boat. And as you said in your post, staying alive is the first priority for everyone. I hope you feel better. I enjoy your posts and I look forward to more! ![]()

I am immuosupressed and right staying alive is a major priority
Almost everyone is overwhelmed right now, it seems you specifically have been overwhemed and unhappy for years. Really, you are no different from anyone else here. Many many people, including a good number here on this forum are worse off than you. You think too much of yourself all the time. In the past I have suggested you do some volunteer work, which you pooh-poohed. Perhaps when things settle a bit you might try my suggestion. Helping others tends to make you think less about yourself.

I am feeling a bit depressed right now and shocked to find myself so💔
do you guys feel this way too?

@LTT1 -
I think it is impossible not to feel at least at times either depressed, super worried, totally freaked out, or terrified.
If none of these apply check your pulse!

Not a good time to be judgemental. People can't help how they feel and criticism does not help. Maybe just be there and let them vent or ask if there is anything you can do to make them feel better.![]()

Thats the thing I am not afraid of C-19 I am just tired of being home and loosing the little freedom I had, being immunocompromised it not an easy life, there are many days and nights I do not have the energy to leave the house and this is one of those times
I can understand you feeling resentful about losing your freedom but you need to put that in the right place on your list of priorities.
Priorities 1 through 100 is protect yourself. Not being able to go somewhere can wait for priority 101.
Do you have a porch or patio? If so and your weather permits take one of those QVC boxes outside, hopefully in the sun and fresh air, open the box, inspect your item and try to take some pleasure in your new acquisition.
A poor substitute for getting up and going for sure but still something different than sitting inside further exhausting yourself with thoughts of doing something that you physically cannot do and that you should not be doing to keep as safe as possible.
I've posted this before and am doing so again in hopes that it brings you some comfort:
"One day someone is going to hug you so tight all of your broken pieces fit back together.”

Love this quote! I live alone and a hug would go a long way right now.![]()
