I prefer the cold dry vs cold snow ! If we do get snow, 1 " will be fine and I'm done. A 1" snow white Christmas would be ok then we are done with snow ! ![]()

In NC the almanac is usually right.

The Farmers Almanac is usually pretty accurate. I know my grandmother swore by its predictions.,...and also used lots of nature's clues to predict the weather....and it worked!

I know I'm crazy but I truly miss the seasons (esp. Fall& Winter) that I'm actually considering if the time comes to rent my villa Nov-May because my friends do it & the rental income is great.
Then I'd have the best of both worlds Fall-Winter and summer🙂🙂

It seems like it's always a surprise with what kind of weather we'll get here. I'm right in the middle of Colorado so things can shift one way or another at a drop of the hat. The weather here is an adventure! We never know what to expect until it's upon us.

My father in law was a farmer in GA and I would give him a new farmers Almanac yearly. He plowed and planted by it!
I'm in VA and cold/dry is much better here than snow!
People here can't drive in snow, so I stay home!
After this Summer I won't miss the heat and humidity!

My sister lives in WNY and has plenty of lake effect wind etc no matter how mild the winter.
She says that the "best" part of winter is the chance to rotate the wardrobe and enjoy her winter fashions for several months. For her, it's always glass half full. ![]()

The cold discussed here is coming. I have some beautiful coats as does the Dillards Outlet which carries clothing for the opposite season.
Hope you are having fun. I miss teaching!![]()

Cold and snow for NY - but living in the City with snow isn't really all that bad.
Sidewalks and roads are cleared quickly, and with the steam pipes and subway underground - stuff melts.
Only issue - slush around the curbs.

well dammit, we'd better have some cool/cold weather this year because I bought a couple of Stan Herman (?) lounging outfits and I'll wear them, weather be damned!
And I just learned the hard way that olive is NOT my color!
But no one other than my family will be forced to look at me because I'll wear it just to lounge around the house on a cold day with my Bombas socks.
So there!
