Re-finishing Kitchen cabinets - Dark or light? Need Help!

I have white cabinets that are 10+ years old and need a new finish. I found the Rust-oleum Cabinet Transformations kit but should I go dark or light?

Which color is "in" right now? THANKS!{#emotions_dlg.huh}
