DH gave me a scare today. We went to Walmart to pick up RX and get flu shots. I told him not purchasing groceries since another stop before returning home. I told him to let me out on the pharmacy side and park in that area and I would get the grocery cart and wait for him. Waited. Went back outside and didn’t see car. I realized the cell phone was in the car with him. Went inside and he was in pharmacy waiting for me. He decided to park near the grocery entrance and then went in that way and went to the pharmacy. He couldn’t understand what the problem was and why I was upset. Now trying to decide if I need to purchase another cell phone but another expense for just a few uses. Southern Bee

When we were on vacation up in Ind. I ran into a old friend from church at Penny's and was shocked when she told me she was divorcing # 2 because she was vulnerable after her first died and now she's regretting it.
I'm not making that mistake. Dr. Phil says "You want to be happy alone or miserable married"? I concur.

Love DH and wish I could do more. He is dealing with memory issues caused by depression. He is trying to get his VA disability upgraded to include 100% unemployable and PTSD. The 2011 retirement was with civil service and that took a few months to change to civil service disability. Then had to wait 6 months to apply for social security which took a year to be denied and had to hire a social security lawyer to get that. DH was very upset because so many of his dreams and plans for retirement had drastically changed. Thank goodness- so far for this month only two doctor appointments are scheduled. In 2011 for several months he had doctor appointments scheduled at least four days per week. I tell people don’t put off doing what they want or think they will have enough time to do that in retirement because the body and mind might not be able. I still look for the positive and count my many blessings. Southern Bee

easy to say if one isn't on budget. We got 2 Tracfone's with 10,000 minutes between us. Just use them to call electric co when power goes out and on vacation to holler back and forth "where you at"? when we wander off from each other. Call in a pizza from the road.
we pay 100 a yr for the one yr card. Don't have to buy just the one and they leave you alone rest of the yr..
Poor Southern Bee you make us count our blessings.

Oh precious Sharke- don’t feel sorry for us. We are really blessed and appreciate what we have. Ole silly me tried 3 different tracfones suppose to be easier for seniors to operate and had problems operating them, but loved the feature to purchase the minute card as needed. The land line with the cable company averages $60 per month with free long distance. The jitterbug cost $75 and don’t remember the activation fee and averages $22 per month. If purchase another JB phone bill for 2 cellphones and land line approximately $104 but comfort and peace of mind is something to consider. Got more research to do with a lot of praying. Southern Bee

@SouthernBee between me and you keep a secret we're still on the 3 G phones and want to stay on the Tracfone 3G. My poor sister got pushed up to the 4G and has had nothing , but, problems with her Tracfone.
They make you upgrade you know if you don't they just disconnet your old outdated phone and you lose your minutes. I dread it when somebody wakes up and notices we're on 3 G. LOL

@SharkE : Well I was considering looking at the tracfone and something else to deal with. Changes are never easy or simple. Southern Bee

I just hope we can stay with what we're used to in the 3G cellphones.
They have to fart around with everything nowdays you know. We old folks don't like change in first place. Then, when you don't have a choice you got nobody to help you, you have to call in talk to somebody you can't understand, and learn whole new get up, till they change it again.
Even going to the store, they change the stuff around you go to the chip aisle and nope it's now the liquor aisle, so, you wander around trying to find where in the hale they put the chips, etc. My advice is don't get used to nothing in this world and I mean nothing because it won't stay consistent.
I lost my P A this yr who got me started on blood pressure and high cholesterol pills, she went and had to many kids and couldn't handle them and moved back to where she came from so her mother could help her out. I thought your a physician assistant don't you know how to limit the babies and not be put in that situation, but, she just turned her patients over to another gal. She looks 15, we'll see how she does.
Just saying nothing ever stays the same. Don't expect too any more
