I had to look up who he is. Oracle is a gigantic tech company that has been around for a long time. No surprise to me at his wealth.
No skin off my nose and none of my beeswax. He has been fortunate and probably has worked and worried a lot along the way, or not. Has nothing to do with me. People like this are part of what makes the world go around. I harbor them no ill will and to me it's "so what?"

It's unfortunate that posters spout garbage without researching facts and real numbers.
ITA ... to some here, facts don't really matter.

Larry can donate or do whatever he wants with his money. Because he donated to some good charities and schools years ago doesn't mean he still does and it certainly doesn't automatically make him a decent human being.
Many of his donations, beliefs, and affiliations make me run the other way.

I never donate to medical research because innocent animals are tortured and killed.

Your comment is strange .... exactly WHAT makes you think wealthy people don't give to charities?
Serious question.
Not only do wealthy give to other charities, most of them start their own charitable foundations to direct the cash flow to causes they personally care about.
Where did you go? It was a fair question. Suddenly, you are hiding?

It is their money and we have no ideal what all they do with anymore than we know what each other does in giving to our charities.

Just because you disagree with some doesn't mean they're wrong. Look up when Ellison is doing these days. I wouldn't trust him with my used pen.

I don't mind people making millions and billions. Good for them.
I do mind when they use that money for greed and political power while hurting those deemed less-than, which is exactly what's happening.
No one will ever convince me that 98% of the super wealthy are the good guys today. I've read enough about this guy and many others to know better. I spent nearly 40 years in their world, even as an executive for many years, so I've seen it firsthand.
Facts matter.

It's a tax deduction.... otherwise it goes to the government.

I have no problem with multi billuonaires.
Pay your fair share of taxes
Endow hospitals and universities
Finance parks and rec centers and food banks in every community in which you operate
Use your enormous power for good
Don't associate with known criminals, no matter how enticing they may seem
