She sure was a talented beauty.  I remember my dad had a picture of her and he always teased if not for my mom he would have married Raquel, LOL!    RIP beautiful lady.

She was a very wise woman about her career and show business. 

 

About the sex symbol image, she said she "had to be careful not to embrace it, but not to push it away."  She walked that tightrope very well.

 

I admire her bravery in suing MGM in the early 1980s when she was fired from a film.  She said MGM lied about her and wanted to restore her reputation.  Ultimately she won a nice sum in a jury trial.
