I would never order stuff from Rakuten...the prices are outrageous!  I don't even want to know what they charge for shipping it here.

@dex  - most of the online sites have an english translation.  I buy a conditioner called Hair Rescue.  They also have an intensive one that is usually used in hair salons and have different steps.  Directions are in Japanese, but my ex is a first generation Japanese man so I have a translater.  Pricing is pretty reasonable. As for mailing, I use a mail service there.  They have promotions on and off that offer reduced shipping.  You get your own PO box that you will use for a mailing address, and they will hold your purchases until cost effective to mail.  The service is called Tenso.  Also use their purchasing serive called Buyee. No duty problems at all.

@Tinkrbl44  - It depends.  Read my reply below.  Sometimes quickly - about a week or so - and sometimes longer.  I use a mail service called Tenso.  Also use their purchasing serive called Buyee

The tenso.com service is built upon customers' requests and voices. Based on the voices of our customers, we have started a "Consolidation Service" so that parcels from different shops can be shipped out together, as well as providing various "Shipping Methods", such as EMS, AIR, SAL, and Surface Mail.

LOL!  I saw the topic and thought it was food. Like turducken or piecaken!
