I am considering making a Ragdoll cat part of our family (looking into it at this point and trying to learn a bit before I actually start looking at kittens--I'd like to be as infomred as possible knowing that a furry pal will easily capture my heart!)
I have had greyhounds, akits, dalmation, and an older domestic short hair cat over the past 20 years but have never had a kitten and never a rag doll.
Any ragdoll owners out there? Can you direct me to any links or offer up any advice on what to look for? I know that I want a very affectionate cat, one that will want to be around me and cuddle. From the reading I have done via internet it sounds like ragdolls might be a good introduction for me into the world of kittens (since I am mostly used to being around dogs) . BTW--he/she will be an only child (I think)--I actually am considering getting 2 if that makes sense. It's just my hubby and I--no kids. I have always adopted in pairs so that my pups had buddies. My only cat was adopted when he was 18 years old and I only had a year with him--and loved every single moment with my little old man!
Thanks much for any advice or guidance!
