Pictured in front of Newport's "Rosecliff" where much of the film's location shooting took place.

Although a yellow car might not be my favorite (even though my first car, a second-hander with houndstooth upholstery (!), was yellow), this bad boy is pretty.  1928 Phantom I Ascot.  And Redford, of course!

It's from the 1974 "Great Gatsby"--- there have been so many movie adaptations of the novel, you always have to specify.   Coming up for auction.

Look at that green leather interior, wow!  F. Scott Fitzgerald specified that in his novel:

Perfect for "Gatsby".

my cousin and I were in provincetown, and then stopped in NEWPORT.  They were filming Gatsby, and I have 8mm movies of redford and Mia Farrow standing in front of the mansioin....we could get that close.....

He is a great looking man....but IMHO a poor actor...wooden...

Mia is just great as Daisy...

The interior leather looks so plush and comfortable.

Imagine back in the day when all the vehicles on the road were over-sized and had design and style.

@jellyBEAN,  that interior was what grabbed me-- just so luscious....  I'm not even a "car person" but to tool around in that would be an experience.
