Only two remaining: Micky Dolenz and Michael Nesmith. Davy Jones and Peter Tork have died. Smiley Sad

One of the disconcerting things about getting older - seeing so many people die, whether it be people you know personally or people you know through their art.   Smiley Sad

I still listen to the Monkees!

My HS BF used to put my name iin Day Dream Beliver.  Instead of    "sleepy Jean"  he'd sing  "(my first name) Jean"  Istill do that to this day. LOL

I loved The Monkees. I was the right age. The very first album I ever bought was The Monkees first album.

I specifically remember buying it at Curtis Farms grocery store in Quincy, MA. They carried a very small selection record albums right by the front door.

Terrific memories. Rest in peace Peter.

@gidgetgh They were...fun.

So strange. For no reason, I was singing “Last a Train to Clarksville” last evening.

Mike Nesmith and Mickey Dolenz (my fave) are currently touring, playing Monkees music.  They will be in the Philadelphia area in a couple of weeks.
