What an absolute talent.  So sad to learn that he was diagnosed with dementia in 2014.  Too young....

Just to clarify for those who might not know.

Malcolm is the bassist.

Angus Young, his brother, is the lead guitarist...one of the top guitarist of all time....and wears the crazy school boy uniform!

I adore AC/DC.

It’s a band that will.not.die.

Bon Scott, lead singer passed away, then Brian Johnson got on board.  I really do think they will continue to produce music, but once Angus passes, you can’t replicate that guitar riff...he’s a one-of-a-kind.

@sidsmom   Malcom was the rhythm guitarist.  He was also the driving force that created the success of AC/DC and creator of the riff styles of the band.

If Angus passes, I agree that AC/DC will be disbanded.  Malcom's health became an issue after the Black Ice tour, according to Angus.

Another brother, George, just passed away in October.

DH and I are also huge fans of AC/DC; we were lucky to see them one more time before Malcom stepped aside.

Very sad day in the music industry.
