Freddie Mercury's voice was incredible! I don't know how he hit some of those high and low notes. I love watching his Live Aid segments.

So talented, a voice that was unique and full of emotion, a legend in the music world, Freddie Mercury's music lives on.
My cousin was helping a driver on the side of the road many years ago. A car hit her and crushed her leg resulting in being hospitalized for over a year. During that time she had many transfusions and tragically caught aids through tainted blood. Her suffering lasted until she passed. Horrible disease.

Wow, can't believe it's been 30 years! Such a talent. My twins are seniors this year and I just put together a slide show of them using Queens, 'You're my best friend' one of my all time favorite songs.

Very sad story about his death. He was a troubled soul in the beginning trying to figure out his sexuality but he finally came to terms with it but it ended taking his life. May he rest in peace.

That is not true. He knew about his orientation early in life but was ashamed to reveal it publicly. He was in no way 'trying to figure" it out. He stopped taking medication, which was prolonging his life somewhat, but towards the end it was not helping so he stopped taking it and then died shortly thereafter. It wasn't suicide. It was just what the course of the disease took and there was nothing that could have saved him at that time.

he was working on songs etc up until the day before he died... he felt so awful during making the last video he made with the group. Brian Mays said that he could barely stand or walk... but Freddie wanted to do the work... he was an amazing soul...

I've probably watched every TV show or movie about him. I adored that man.
I'm also thrilled that Adam Lambert has become the lead singer for Queen. Such a perfect choice. I love AL, too.

I so love him! Been a big fan since my teen years. I am on a fan page on facebook. He makes me smile and one the best vocals in rock history. Best front man ever!

@spiderw One of my best friends, her name was Angela, also died of AIDS from blood transfusions. She was only 24, it was beyond horrible. That was my first experience with the death of someone I was very close to. I run into her then husband a few times a year & often wonder how different life would've been had she survived. He has a nice family.
Ironically, he met his new wife at the hospital where Angela & her brother were being treated. At the time, many people distanced themselves from him bc of his proximity to AIDS. It was all so sad. Love Freddie Mercury (and, Adam Levine).
