I thought that the tracking number I get with every label I generate here at home does the same?

@chrystaltree

I don't like to knock anybody?

I guess you do not have anything constructive to share.

Well, no.  How could I say anything constructive, your post doesn't say anything since you didn't tell us what companies you were talking about.  If for no other reason, I would think you would name the shopping channels to alert other shoppers.  That's what most of us do.  But venting for the sake of venting is okay too.

OK IT starts with an "E" and ends with one, too.

To my way of thinking it's messed up.

When I buy USPS online from home, insurance for the item is free up to a value of $50.

The other company I'm using is LLBean and their card --shipping and returns are free and I think they make every effort to make sure the customer is happy.

Have had good luck with Zappos Amazon

The Q CS made it a point to say something like "we want you to be entirely happy. I like that.

It has come to light for me that retailers are becoming ever increasingly interested in purchasers using their cards. I assume the profit margin for these is higher.

Re: RETURNS what can you share?

@LTT1  I'm assuming you're speaking of Evine because they definitely make everything a hassle.  On March 31st, I made a jewelry purchase.  After it hadn't shipped in 2 weeks, I sent an email to CS referencing the order number.

What I got back was an email with a whole list of required info I had to send them before they'd answer my question which was "when will my ring ship?"  You'd think I was asking for nuclear secrets.

I emailed back that they didn't need all that info and I would just cancel the order, which I did.  They sent another email that they wouldn't respond to my question until I provided the requested info.

I'm finished with them.

Re: RETURNS what can you share?

Rather a bizarre post.  Why can't the OP use the names of the shopping channels she is referring to?  Posters talk about their experiences with HSN and Evine on these boards all the time.  Is she afraid the HSN or the Evine Police will come after her if she refers to them by their names?

How much stuff is she returning that she finds keeping track of her returns to be such a hassle and can't match her post office receipts with the tracking numbers to the orders she is returning?  How many not processed returns does she have at any one time that she can't keep track of her returns?

Re: RETURNS what can you share?

I have noticed that returns are taking an enormously long time to process.  Recently I returned a D&C shirt.  It arrived 4/15 and has not been processed yet (4/21).  That seems unreasonable to me.

Re: RETURNS what can you share?

I always assume a return anywhere will not be credited to my card until the next payment cycle. It seems to work out that way much more often than not.

As for the OP - she seems to be making a mountain out of a molehill big time.If you are buying and returning so much that you have difficulty keeping track of it then you probably need to address your spending habits. I can easily tell you how much I have bought  from my memory in any given month and what it cost & if it is on easy pay. I look at my cc statement and know exactly what the items were. I don't have any need to match the statement up to my item numbers, but if you did need to do that you should save your receipts and/or mailing labels to  do that I think.

@151949   I don't know why you spent your life as a nurse when you're such a genius at bookkeeping.  Do you always have to reprimand everyone who shops?  The subject of the thread was the roadblocks some merchants erect.
