REMEMBERING THE BRAVERY 22 YEARS AGO

Just wanted to send a message of utmost love and respect for all who died on September 11, all those who valiantly ran to help, (and many of whom died as well),  those who suffer from illness today as a result, and all surviving family members and loved ones.

Salute you---  forever in our thoughts.

Re: REMEMBERING THE BRAVERY 22 YEARS AGO

I remember it like it was yesterday, a beautiful late summer September day. I gained more respect that day for all the first responders. Prayers for all who lost their lives that day and all their family members and friends. This girl will never forget. Scary that today's new voters were not alive to experience this.

Being a New Yorker, having been to & worked at the Towers prior to the attack, I carry a lot of pain over it. I know people who died there & my cousin barely escaped.

My heart hurts for all those who suffered.I have a lot of love & respect for the first responders, who sacrificed themselves to save others. They are true heroes!!

Re: REMEMBERING THE BRAVERY 22 YEARS AGO

I worked across the street from the WTC, so I was in the middle of all that horror and chaos.  Of the images I saw that day, I remember so well the firefighters. When we were evacuated and standing in front of our building, there was a never ending blaring of sirens and fire engines roaring past us, one after another.  I remember just staring at those firemen as they went by to the Trade Center.  Later that night when I was safe at home, I knew that most of those heroes never made it out alive.

As for those who died, there is another image I will always remember.  I saw a man in a suit jump from the 100th floor to his death. Twenty two years later the image of that poor man  is still so vivid.

We can never forget.  May they all rest in peace.

Our son worked at the Towers and by the Grace of God survived.  Since that time he has built a wonderful life with a lovely wife and  2 children.  There are emotional and a couple of physical scars, but he has made the most of his second chance.  It's a very emotional day for me thinking about all those who died and all their loved ones left behind.  May God bless them.

I was getting ready for a dentist appt. Mom called and told us to turn on the TV. On our way to the dentist i remember that there was nothing in the sky-no planes.

Maybe it's much to early in the game,ah but I thought I'd ask you just the same
