This little seasonal visual is making the rounds--  I thought it was cute.   I didn't get the Kafka one though.  (Not that I've really read much of him at all, actually.) Then my husband said look up Kafka and insects, or Kafka beetle.  So I did, and it became clear!  Thank you google. 

 

The Mary Shelley one and the Atwood, struck me funny.

Glad you looked up Kafka and the apparent reference to the Metamorphosis.  Creative " author" references.

@Oznell  Kafka wrote a book called Metamorphosis, in which the narrator turned into a dung beetle.

Ha, ha, @Imaoldhippie --  I hadn't heard of "Olive, The Other Reindeer",  so had to look it up.   That is quite the saga!
