@Carmie wrote:@elated My local paper said they will be available at 12 noon at my time.
I suppose they weren't correct.
@Carmie This is what the article states:
The passes are in celebration of National Burger Month and will be redeemable for one gourmet burger of choice and a bottomless side every day in May, according to a news release. They'll be available for purchase for $20 starting on Thursday, April 17 at 11 a.m. EST on Red Robin's National Burger Month Webpage.

Can you imagine what your cholesterol would be if you indulged. Not to mention your sodium intake from a fast food restaurant. 🥴
How much is your Health worth? I think WAY more than the cost of that deal.
It's not that serious..... way to dramatic.. It's not any everyday thing.
It's a small promotion and if you are old/or and have heath issues stay away.
Otherwise no need to be negative about it.

@RescueLover Well I & many many others who grew up eating McDonalds, Burger King, Ginos etc. must be extremely lucky. Hasn't affected my health in any way.

If the deal was for bottomless PLAIN burger patties, DH and I would be interested.
We don't want the bottomless, cheap carbs full of sugars/seed oils/grains.
We don't eat out much anymore. Restaurants charge for the full meal when one only wants the meat. Cracker Barrel is a great example.
Shameful IMO...

Probably because most people eat a balanced diet. I'm sure veggies are an option.

@spumoni99 My personal viewpoint on veggies is different than yours. They are still 'carbs'. For me to maintain my weight/blood sugar low/ultimate health, I have to keep my carb intake as close to zero daily as possible.
Then there are things like oxalates that cause inflammation...just like sugars/grains/seed oils do.
I love having zero inflammation/no health issues.
For those that can ingest carbs without issues...have at it.

It's super easy for DH and I to get our burger of choice, on a lettuce bun, and a side of broccoli.

@JeanLouiseFinch For us, it would be great if we could order plain burgers without being charged for a full meal. On rare occasions, we will stop at Wendy's (meat pattie stacks) or McDonalds (for plain quarter pounder stacks). It is rare because the price is off the charts...oy.
I can't ingest those extra carbs from broccoli because of inflammation. I learned this by actually trying to incorporate foods back in (one at a time) a few years ago to test my body's reaction to various foods. Quite eye opening and a huge learning curve.

Hi @Susan Louise You can probably eat around, & skip the Hamburger Bun. When I was r/o Celiac Sprue, I would take a bite of the burger & Veggie, but no Bun. Id use the bun to hold the burger/veggies together, & peel off small pieces of the bun just ahead of the next bite of burger/veggie.
