I think it's appalling how QVC is treating people!!!! So much for QVC being like a "family". They let hosts go with no notice! I am very upset that Antonella and Stacey were let go. There are others, right?
Kristna, Julia, Terri, Kristine- They should all have been the ones to go!
I think customers should voice their concerns loudly!

Yes, Gabrielle Kerr and Kristine Zell were also let go.

@Tinkerbell3 I think you need to get your facts straight before sounding off. How about the other 450 people that got laid off? Don't know who the people are you listed.
Lay offs are what corporations do when they're fighting to survive. They pick the least productive or surplus and get rid of them. What would you do, keep them, sink the whole ship so thousands lose their jobs?
This isn't personal; it's business and you do what's best for the business and it's stockholders.

@Kachina624 , like you I understand why lay offs were necessary. I don't necessarily agree with who they chose to eliminate , but it's not my call. The thing is QVC has made a lot of money pushing the " family " story, so we can't be surprised that some people feel angry about what seems to them an abrupt and cold decision. I wish I had confidence in their ability to right the ship, but sadly I do not.

Most rounds of layoffs are handled exactly like this. I have never experienced anyone get laid off with more notice than a day or two (& just to give time to gather belongings, etc).
Based on how the news all hit on the same day, they probably were given some time beforehand and told when they could make their announcements. Being able to control one's own announcement is actually quite rare and is a caring thing to do.
We are also not aware of whether they received severance, of which my guess would be yes.
As @Kachina624 said, it's a public company and this is how things are handled.

@Tinkerbell3 I think you should calm down.
