I don't watch QVC much any more because the hosts that are on all the time (like JT, DV and a few others) are the ones I really do not like.  I figure I have to be in the minority because if they were not productive they would not be on all the time.

I haven't heard as yet that Gabrielle was let go...one of my favorite hosts and one of the most enjoyable, respectful hosts so i am hoping not......................and yet they keep

This is not a family, but a business. The company wants us to be happy, feel like a family and shop.

I feel for the average support staff person losing a job.

Hi @Sheila P-Burg . I am obviously not Shanus but the models are employed by a modeling agency that a former model on the Q started. Her name is Joy. Hope that helps.

@Sheila P-Burg   I'd assume they have a rotating group on the payroll from an agency. Just seems the same ones are demonstrating mu and I notice the usual bra model is MIA.

Seriously - should I care which particular sales personnel gets laid off?  I barely know their names, but I feel sorry for any reductions at these companies.  I hope things turn around quickly.  Hard to believe what has happened in just a few months.

Posts voicing wild assumptions aren't credible. I have no doubt that hosts had all kinds of protections in their contracts in the event they no longer fit QVC's plans. The people I care about are the invisible support staff who make everything work. Very little is being said here about those folks, only the celebrity class. What a shame.

I thought QVC was pushing it when QVC2 appeared, then QVC3. I figured they were overextending themselves and a retraction would be likely. The expansion of the TSV from one to several items, extending the TSV pricing and terms to more than 24 hours--that made sense, but spoke to a scrambling on their end. IOW, the old formula wasn't cutting it.

I don't have TV so I never watch the shows, only the 5- to 10-minute presentation clips posted on the product page. I always watch them before making a decision about buying. That's a perfectly good way to shop on QVC and HSN. I'd recommend that.

I also wondered if the many negative comments had an impact on this decision about Antonella. Imagine QVC received many negative emails, which would have gone into her personnal file.

This pains me since she remained an excellent host IMO and I quickly became accostomed to her hair. I shall miss her happy personality and love of jewelry. Antonella is intelligent and will be fine. There are so many other places who would love to hire her!
