why are Teresa Giudice and her brother on such bad terms.................

I just watched a couple of the re-runs-never got into all the housewife shows-

Why are they on bad terms?

Because it is their storyline. It's a fake feud, for the viewing enjoyment of the masses.

I think it started because Theresa and her sister-in-law didn't get along and her brother had to choose sides.  And Theresa's husband and her brother used to be good buddies and then they had a falling out - probably over some shady business deal.  It's hard to remember all the drama lol

I quit this franchise a couple of years ago....not going back. (same with Atlanta)

didn't like the last season with the twins but might check the new season out.  problem with Jersey is that it's just the 2 familes they need more people that aren't so related like the other shows.

plus I live in Bergen county and it's fun to see the locations

Several factors involved from what I recall from previous episodes.

Joe Guidice got his brother in law Joe Gorga started in the construction business by lending him tools (which he never returned) and basically showing the ropes. Gorga succeeded far beyond Guidice so there was a certain jealousy there with their homes, income, cars, furniture, etc.

Theresa always disliked her sister in law (jealous) and spread rumors about her being a stripper, a gold digger and cheater, etc, because basically Melissa allegedly copied everything that Theresa had.

I do think a lot of it was patched up after Tre and Juicy were both sent to prison.
