It's rainy here in SE PA too. I have had my family come over for Mother's Day, a birthday and an anniversay all on weekends over the last several weeks and it has rained each time!
They are coming over for my birthday on Thursday (they are taking off of work!) and are going to take me somewhere....it's a surprise! Fingers crossed it won't rain!

Yeah, I know it is a dry heat, So is my oven and I wouldn't want to preheat it to 110 degrees and sit in front of the open oven door all day, every day.
I can't tolerate high heat and humidity.
That's why we don't go outside unless we have to. We hibernate in summer like others do in winter. We love winter, sping and fall. Summer can take a hike.

Huh, try to live in Florida almost 10 months out of the year.
A nightmare. A shame I was raised here down in the south.
Good luck for the New Yorker's who want to move here to spend a whole 12 months here... Yay.

@meallen616 as usual, I love this. Stay out of the rain. After moving here, I kept saying, "I'm moving back to NJ" and my family would say let us know when you get there.

I can't either, and I thought SoCal would always be tolerable.
I just heard that our summer, United States, is expected to be the fifth hottest summer on record.
God bless Air Conditioning.

Lived in Fl for years. Our A/C stayed on all year long. Got in my vehicle, the A/C was on, go into the store and the A/C was on so I liked that.
I'm a cold weather person. Now I'm in Atlanta and the A/C is on. It's 72 degrees, and not my kind of weather. My brother is visiting our nephew in Sunrise Fl and he keeps complaining about the A/C going all day lol.

What I don't like is watering the grass and the flowers and it rains a day or two later.

My sister lived in Boca Raton FL for a few years and it was difficult. She hates A/C but she also isn't fond of excessive heat and humidity.
Her solution ... she kept her A/C at 80 degrees and also kept all the ceiling fans on low ... all the time. It was very tolerable.
