Can’t leave any house without beds made, counters cleared and dishes in the dishwasher.  I hate clutter so this makes sense to me.

Partner with the poster who can’t have dishes touching in the cabinet !

Even my dishwasher is neatly stacked and very easy to unload for putting things away.

Of course, even the silverware drawer has everything nicely     stacked side by side.

Neither of my sisters are like this, nor was my mother.

I find it pleasing when when I walk back into the house and everything is in place !  It doesn’t really take much time to get things this way.

@jlkz I forgot to mention-When my mom had cataract surgery, it was me who did her drops. (MOM was very dependent on me for everything). I knew I was gonna have to do it, lol, I managed with no problems. This is coming from someone who totally freaks out when having my BP checked. I have even passed out from having it taken. I also used to get physically sick upon hearing certain medical details. I don't really have white coat syndrome, it stems from a traumatic childhood ordeal.

*quirk-I  can't walk barefoot in anyone else's house. I really don't like being barefoot anywhere, except inside my own house.

Agree on closets also. Mine is arranged by colors, shoes in clear boxes-stacked & labeled, all hangers MUST be facing same way, all hangers are the same color/kind. Purses, gloves stored in an organizer. Closets are like my cabinets, inside organization is a MUST

I don't like people touching me, period. No way anyone is going to cut my nails. The only thing a person can cut on me is the hair on my head.

I had to get a mammogram yesterday and that set me free. I just hate being touched.

Pedicures, manicures, massages -- have at it!   I love them all!

1) However, don't touch my face.  I cannot stand facials or having someone do my make-up.

2) I must have all hangers facing the same way.  I do not hang clothes by colors, but I do hang them by activity: work clothes, are separated from leisure clothes.  Within work clothes, I separate by blouses/tops, skirts, pants, etc.

3) The same with my shoe shelves -- shoes are separated by dressy, work, casual, very casual, sneakers, boots.

4) Dollar bills in my wallet must all face the same way, smallest demonination to largest.

Fun idea for a thread!

Mine is that I don't like my plated food to touch each other.  I don't mind soups, stews, casseroles, but if my veggie touches my potatoe on my plate I immediately separate them.

@TX-starlight- I have a thing about being barefoot also.  I am fine with being barefoot inside my home, but will not go without shoes once I step beyong the door.  I can't even walk in my own yard barefoot.  It really bothers me too when I see other people walking around barefoot - especially children.

One thing I forgot to mention in my original post - right up there with my dislike of Halloween would be my dislike of clowns (and I'm surprised none of you mentioned it either).  They really scare the bejeebers out of me!

And as far as that barefoot thing, I NEVER go barefoot, not even in my own home.  It has nothing to do with protecting floors, I just don't like walking around without something on my dogs!

An oddball, for sure.
