No, I've never tipped a plumber. I have a home warranty and out of curiosity I asked him what he would have charged without it. This was two years ago: $119 per hour plus parts.

My plumber charges $150 for a service call for anything less than an hour. After that he gets $120 an hour.

NO. Of course not- you pay enough just for the service fee to come out to your home and then the labor charge is ridiculous plus the parts etc...

When we had our septic system seriously repaired and I wrote a check for $6000.00- no tip was necessary..
When Lowe's sent someone to install our toilets- we paid big time for installation..
