Our room is also on the first floor and visible from the front hallway. I recently simplified the process by getting rid of excess bedding...no top sheet, no blanket. I just have to flip the down comforter back in place, the shams are still standing against the headboard. I fluff our two pillows and done. The entire bed is all white with different textures. There's a fur throw at the foot of the bed in tones of bone/white to add interest. Quite simple to make the bed. Two minutes at most.

I eliminated the throw pillows that ended up on the chair each night and needed to be rearranged in the morning.

My bed is made everyday.  It takes only a few minutes.  It would drive me crazy to see an unmade bed.

yes, I make the bed every day.

I pull the sheets tight again and make sure everything is smooth.  I hate getting into a rumpled bed at night,

I am a fanatic about my bedroom looking neat and put together during the day.

When I am sick, I tend to want to be  on the couch, so I do make my bed even then.

I make my bed every day.  I can't stand looking at an umade bed.

When I get in it at night, I want it to be smooth and neat.

I even straighten up the bed in hotels.  I don't make the bed, but I make it look neater.

I make the bed every day. But you wouldn't believe it if you came over to my house and looked at my bed....it's all messed up. Don't blame me...blame the dog, it was the dog.Woman Wink

Isn't that the truth, @Ms tyrion2 . Probably the real reason that I sometimes forgo making the bed when I'm sick is that I just don't feel like it. :-) The sofa is just as good for resting.

Actually, whichever one of us gets up last makes the bed. That's one of the reasons that I'm an early riser. Smiley Wink

When I was young I think I did, but now I'm afraid I'll drop dead and whoever comes into my house will see that I didn't make my bed. I won't go out some where without cleaning up the coffee mess either because I'm afraid I won't come back and it'll sit there dirty for days. LOL nuts, right!

For me, an unmade bed conjures up illness in the house: I might need to lie down during the day. In fact, I've been battling the flu and just felt well enough to start making it again in the morning.

@suzyQ3- I'm sorry to hear you've been unwell and hope you're feeling completely better soon and can enjoy the holidays.

As to the OP's question:  no, I don't leave my bed unmade.  I turn down the blankets and sheet first thing to air out and then make it after I've gotten ready for the day.  I hate looking at a messy, unmade bed.  And my cats have high standards:  they expect the bed to be made, before they curl up on it!  Woman Wink
