Question of Bleach Substitute

Is there anything to use on colors that has the same results (w/o color fading) as bleach?

I always like to add a little bleach to my colored sheets, but, they fade too quickly. I just think that adding bleach to bedding, is more effective killing dust mites and making sheets smell fresh and clean?
