Thank you so much for posting these instructions!
I remember I was getting pretty proficient typing in HTLM code
on my iPad when it wouldn't recognize formatting, paragraphs, etc.
when the Q forum flipped over to new format and...I was showing
everyone how to do it...but...it didn't correct the problem.
It was just a temporary means to an end.
I hope @Community_Team or one of the moderators can
address this issue which many of us are having.
Let's keep the conversation going.
Thanks again for your attention to detail!
Community Chat is not accepting attached photos in png format.
Is this a known issue?
If so, has it been escalated?
Thanks from all of us!!

Well, @butterfly123, I'll try for the basics. Once you download the app, you need to give it permission to access your photos. You do this in Settings, or I think the first time you open the app it will ask you "Do you want PS to have access to your photos?" and you say Yes. After that, when you open the app all your photo folders will be on the screen and you choose which one to edit.
You can use it as much or as little as you want. If you want quick and simple, click on the "magic wand" at the top of the screen next to the right arrow. If you like the result, click "Close" at the left hand top of the screen and it will save to your photos, converted to a JPG.
The first (blue highlighted) icon at the bottom left is filters, if you want to use them. The next icon is cropping. The third icon is exposure, brightness, contrast and several other adjustments. It's what I use most. There are sliding controls for you to choose how much more (or less) you need of the effect. The next icon is for redeye. The next where you want the pic filed or sent. I forget what the bandaid is, but just click on any of the icons for choices. Top of the screen far right is also filing.
It's difficult for me to go back-and-forth from the app to this post, because if I'm "away" from this post "too long" the forum software tosses the post-in-progress. This should get you started.

@butterfly123, here is another screenshot so you can see the basic editing choices. You just learn by experimenting.

@Moonchilde
Thank you-- from what I read you are right-- Photoshop auto converts photos to jpeg.
Do you find Photoshop useful and do you like it?

Yes, you know those numbers I said to ignore at the bottom of the screen?
This is your 2nd screen. The numbers at the top and bottom should look like these (if they aren't would you please let me know?)
These numbers are the dimensions. If you change them, the photo will be cut off...

Somebody tell me why you wouldnt just crop the image in Edit on Camera Roll then insert in message like here. Whenyou crop in Camera Roll the image is converted to a jpeg. Seems simpler.

ARRRGGGH!
@LTT1, I had written a much fuller reply to answer your question as to why I like Photoshop Express but QVC's %#!? software ate it, so I will just say I'm used to it, I find it easy to use, and well-matched to my editing skill level, which is far from expert. I almost never post a photo anywhere without using it. And it's (mostly) free!

I was doing exactly what you explained and it was quick and easy.....until the new IPad DL. Now, I am unable to use this feature.
