Question for those who use IPad to post images

Please, will you take me thru the steps you use to post images from screenshots to the forum.

I was able to do this before the new DL and now I get an error code.

I have had several conversations with Apple and they say the problem can't be fixed.

I appreciate your help.  Thank you

Re: Question for those who use IPad to post images

I just experimented. A straight screenshot with a .PNG suffix won't post.

I EDITED the screenshot with Photoshop Express, and the edited photo converted to a .JPEG suffix, and it will post. So it's the .PNG suffix that the forum software isn't liking. If you can edit the screenshot to have a . JPEG suffix, it's a Go.

Yes, the forum gives an error code fr png images.

The iPad's screenshots automatically are caught and assigned as a png image.

The forum likes you to use a file that has a jpeg ending.

Here is the fix...

Go to the iTunes Store and download an app called "Image."

This app changes png to jpeg.

Let me see if I can find the maker if this app.

I will post it here.

Hi, butterfly123!

The app you need looks like this:

I had to use the app to get this screen shot converted to jpeg!

I am really liking this app. It is simple and useful! HTH

Re: Question for those who use IPad to post images

I'm a big iPad user & never tried to post a picture till now & I got it to work.. I have a generation 4 iPad .. also I'm still fairly new to this forum & not sure how to maneuver certain aspects on posting.. Anyway, this is what I did.. On my generation 4, I went to the  pic icon;  ( second one from the smiley face ) taped it, & a pop-up came up saying chose a file.. I choose my photo album, taped on a picture & then hit post image.. it worked.. I hope this helped.. I tried my best to be specific.. I hope it works ..IMG_5396.JPG

@butterfly123, it's a (mostly) free app in the app store. Search for PS express or PS and download it. It's as simple and easy as you decide to use it. I edit *everything!*

As far as I can tell, you don't need to "do" anything but edit the photo in some way - crop it or do a basic edit. Save it to your Camera Roll and the saved photo will just BE a .JPG

@LTT1, I use a resizer I don't like, called Resizer (also German). I'll have to check yours out!
