Okay. Summer has finally arrived here in the Pacific NW and I normally walk my dog, Lucy about 4 times a day. Two short 10 minute walks after her eating her breakfast and dinner to go potty, a quick one right before going to bed plus we normally do a long half hour or longer walk around noon. Well, now the sun is beating down on the pavement and it gets quite hot out there and I'm worried about her paws so I've been doing longer walks with her after her meals when it's cooler. Do you think that's okay for her tummy? So far, I haven't heard any complaints from her. LoL! But I guess I'm thinking of my Mom's old rule of waiting an hour after eating before going swimming. Would there be any reason to not walk her for 20 minutes right after eating? I have, of course, allowed her time to sniff around and do her business. And it's not like I'm running, just a nice walk.
I'm probably worrying too much but she's such a sweetie and I don't want to do anything wrong with her!
