As some of you know, I have been adopted by a little stray cat. She was coming here and I started to feed her, so she kept coming back.
Then she got her paw hurt (possibly bitten by some animal??) and she pretty much stayed on my carport while she recovered.
Anyway, the problem is that raccoons are eating the food I put out for her and they are scaring her. Does anyone know how I can keep the raccoons away, but not hurt the cat? I have been keeping the carport light on all night, and that seemed to help for awhile, but the last 2 nights, they have been here--made a mess of the food/water and scared away the cat. Tonight I fed her and when she was finished, I put the food inside, but I would like to leave some dry out for her in case she gets hungry at night.
Any ideas??
