Question Regarding What I Can Bring on Plane

For those of you who fly alot, I'm packing for a trip I'm taking. Just wondering if I can bring an aerosol can of dry shampoo (5 oz) in my checked luggage. I get conflicting responses when I google it. The TSA says no aerosols except for personal care. Dry shampoo would be personal care, wouldn't it? I know it is too big to put in the quart size bag, but would it explode in my luggage or be confiscated? Thanks!
