I posted this on Viewpoints and was suggested I post here.
I've always been a dog person and a couple of years ago our son brought a gray Tabby that we fell in love with, but he was an indoor/outdoor and sadly he was killed. We got another cat, exactly the same, but this time, he was not allowed outdoors.
Well, Saturday I decided to take Travis out and play in the yard supervised and he looked timid and scared but he investigated and then came to me so I picked him up and brought him back inside.
On Sunday, he literally attacked me, he bit me in 4 different areas, not scratched, bit me and I was so scared, but within 30 minutes I came back to him and carried him and he seemed ok. Around 4 hrs. later he attacked me again. My son opened the door and he ran outside and now we can't catch him but does anyone have any ideas why he would turn on me.
We play with him daily, we buy him treats, he has a huge bed (DH made it with different compartments for sleeping), a jungle gym to climb and huge scratching post and he gets fresh food daily and water. He has his own room in the house and seemed happy. His room also had a sliding door to see outside and a window to let fresh air in when it was cool outside.
Sorry for the long post but really need help as I have no clue.
