I'm sure you're right. I probably just don't remember looking at the items. I know I definitely never put them in my cart or any kind of wish list though.... So I think referring to them as "my items" that are back in stock is a little bit cagey. But whatever. Thanks for all the suggestions to go in and change my email preferences though. Why didn't I think of that! Lol ETA: Love your new nic pupcakes... Adorable!

Re: QVC's sneaky marketing ploy

I don't receive emails from QVC, because I don't want them. It's an easy fix.

No sales pressure, no marketing "tactics".

Problem is, they're products that I never put on wait list......or ever even looked at I don't think. One was a Dr. Denese product.... And I have used some of her products in the past but not this particular one. My guess is that QVC is trying to trick people into thinking that they had put a certain product on wait list.....or at least a wish list.....and had forgotten doing so. But this tactic definitely is designed to make you take a closer look and perhaps impulse buy. I think by using the words "your item" it's kind of a deceptive practice. What do you think? Just clever marketing? Or a bit underhanded?

Both.

And I don't fall for either sales pitch, either.

Re: QVC's sneaky marketing ploy

I just noticed this today. The on air items that are clearance priced don't have the regular Q price listed. Just the SMRP. When did they start doing that?

I've never gotten an email like that but then I don't have a wishlist either.

They don't want you to notice that the clearance price is only $1 less than the Q price.

I think that is it. I have that happen to me with RedBox.

I suppose this will be a new tactic by QVC. I wouldn't appreciate it if it happened to me. I don't want their emails unless I ask for them.

ETA: When I get those emails from Redbox it says something like "did you forget to check out?" So of course I go look. {#emotions_dlg.angry}
