QVC, pull your head out of your....

nether regions and pay attention to what you are pulling and shipping.

The holiday season is in full swing, and how do I know? I know because QVC is sending out orders completely wrong, over and over again.

I have this problem every holiday season, and quite frankly, it is getting old. If this is happening to me, I know hundreds or thousands of others are experiencing the same thing. In the last week, I have received one order that contained a completely different product than ordered (even though the invoice was correct, the box contents were not), and another order, I was shorted in the quantity ordered. In both cases, the products are sold out and I can't get them. Both were for gifts, and one in particular, I had built an entire gift set around and now can't get. Yet another order I received with no invoice at all, so I had to take time to call and have one shipped.

I'm furious, and have called customer service. Their solution? For my inconvenience, they wanted to give me a 5 easy pay to use on any order over $50. Really!!? Easy pay is a joke to me for anything but a very large ticket item, and it doesn't get me the gift I had planned to give.

I had stopped ordering gifts after Thanksgiving, because that is when it happened in years past, as they got too busy. But now it looks like this year, their incompetence goes back as early as October for making such mistakes.

Many people criticize those who shop very early, but this is why I feel I have to, because between Q and the problems I've had the last two years with Amazon doing similar things, I want to make sure by about Halloween I have Christmas covered, especially when choosing specific gifts for people, because online shopping while it can be a great experience, can really leave you empty handed and frustrated.

Are the mistakes made in the clothing area, or doesn't it matter what you order? I have 3 things due today or tomorrow. Now I'm leary.

Has happened to me over the 31 years I've shopped with the Q. I just don't trust them for a gift as they've abused my trust and I just shop here locally for items. I've received other members orders as well, colors and sizes never ordered, etc. There are decisions one must make - to buy via the shopping shows or not.

qualitygal, I have never ordered clothing from Q, but my mistakes have been in the area of linens, Temp-tations, Valerie Par Hill items, and the like. I'm just so mad I could spit. I do realize that in the whole scheme of life, it's no big deal, but a good business would try to do better than this, and work to correct these kinds of problems.

I was told last week, that people don't pull the orders, but machines do. So much for machines being more efficient than live people.

I'm sorry for those that have had problems. I've been shopping since the CVN days and never have I had a problem. Ever.

first of all - if your shopping for a gift for someone you should certainly shop early enough so that should it not be up to expectation for any reason it can be returned and something different bought to replace the gift. I seldom buy gifts from QVC because when I am buying someone a gift I want to be able to see it in person and assess if it is nice enough to be a gift. I did buy a Jim Shore piece for a friend for Christmas but I bought it in July, just in case it wasn't as nice as I hoped I could buy her something else instead. I also would not go out and buy accompanying pieces to go with a QVC item until I saw it in person and was certain I wanted to keep it.

Because of these kinds of problems is why I will never ever do a "bill to - ship to" order. Half the time, the product is defective and the other half of the time it is an incorrect order.

Could be temporary holiday help. Maybe a bit more training, etc. Just guessing, though. Hopefully it's just an uncommon fluke.

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

If I had been having this problem every holiday season as you indicate you have had I would have long since stopped buying gifts from QVC. A couple of screw ups and that would have been it for me. It's not like there are not a lot of other shopping options usually cheaper than QVC.
