QVC is wonderful , shipping stinks.

Item ordered 3/9 still preparing , went in to backorder then back to preparing , another item orderd Fri , now says back order , this never used to happen , another has been sitting at a post office 100 miles away. since 3/15 not QVC's fault. If an item is advance order i understand , but QVC never used to sell anything that wasn't in stock , without a notice on air. I want QVC to succeed , but i am afraid if this goes on much longer , they will shop other places.

@MW in Iowa   I agree QVC should communicate better with customers about delays and be more open about the reasons.  Communications is not their strong suit for sure.

However it really angers me when people criticize them during this pandemic when there are so many manufacturing and transportation delays.  At least they're trying to provide fresh merchandise unlike many retailers.  Did you know there's even a shortage of shipping containers that is causing delays?  There are so many ships, there is a lack of docking facilities at West Coast ports so everybody waits in line for their turn.

I'm sure it would be much easier for everyone if all the goods arrived on time and could be shipped immediately.  It's not like they are shipping late maliciously or due to incompetence.  If an item is readily available I'm seeing it shipped in 2 days.

Please be patient.

Re: QVC is wonderful , shipping stinks.

I ordered three lock and a lock items last night....late.

They are already on their way.  I  have a tracking number.

So far I have had to problems with things being delayed by QVC or the shipping company.

QVC returns are another story. I have nothing nice to say about that.

I placed an order on a Tuesday and had my items by Friday. Have had no problems at all.

Yes, communication could be better but even when I have emailed them they are quick to respond.

I've been having problems too this week.  One item was shipped on 3/11 and got stuck on 3/15.  No movement since then.  I called CS and they said that it's at my local post office.  According to USPS tracking it hasn't gotten to the post office yet.  I will call tomorrow morning and see what is going on.

I also have a few more orders in the "preparing your order" phase.  One is from 3/15 .

Re: QVC is wonderful , shipping stinks.

I'm moderately annoyed at how they send you an 'order shipped' email but it really hasn't even been packed and, sometimes, it's several days before it actually shipped.   Yesterday I got an email from UPS for an order that has been assigned a tracking number but probably won't actually pack and hit UPS for a few more days.

I learned, early on, not to have high expectations.  With most retailers, the parcel actually ships within a day of being assigned a tracking number.

When IT gets here - it got here.   For me Q has been very efficient in delivery.  If it gets here in 2 days or takes 10 = no problem.    I've lived without that ITEM just fine - what's the big deal?

Re: QVC is wonderful , shipping stinks.

I have an item ordered 3/5 that is still preparing. I'm sorry, but I blame QVC. It's not like we are in the beginning of the pandemic. Other companies have gotten their acts together and ship out items in a timely fashion. Yes, you can't trust the post office but the problem isn't the shipping method as much as it seems to be QVC not sending it out.
