Re: QVC Yo-Yo pricing or just increasing prices?

I'm not sure why individuals don't understand retail. Every grocery store and department store I go to has "temporary" sales. The prices will go down then return to regular pricing.

This is also the case with online retailers. Every business I shop with will have sales, these prices do not stay at the sale prices forever.

The biggest culprit of this so called Yo-Yo pricing is Amazon. I save a lot of items and every day that I log onto Amazon I get a long list of price changes. Some only pennies different but some go up and some go down in varying amounts.

Here's a perfect example ... in the past few months, I've been watching a specific set of Charter Club  sheets at Macys.

Regular price is $120, too much for a guest room.  The prices bounce all the time, so I waited.

After Thanksgiving they were $68.   After Christmas ... for ONE DAY .... that very same sheet set was $42, which is when I pounced and purchased.  Just now, I checked ... they are $120 again today.

Honestly, I understand your point, but keep in mind that "clearance" prices aren't carved in stone prices.  They can also fluctuate fairly regularly.
