How I love connections! Some are surprising and not of great consequence but are, nonetheless, fun.
Several weeks ago, a close female friend of one of my sons was taking off for Egypt. An hour or so before she had to depart for the airport, she realized she had no head scarves. In a rush, she called me to see if I had any she could borrow.
Of course, I said, and she came over with her older aunt with whom she was traveling to Egypt. I handed her two new and unworn Patricia Nash scarves (one still had its tag on it). They looked lovely with the young woman's coloring -- in fact, they were more flattering on her than me. So, I told her to keep them and that they were Patricia Nash scarves. She did not recognize the name but her aunt immediately did. Auntie was oohing and aahing at the gifts. We chuckled over our newly discovered QVC and HSN connections. One of the scarves was A386278 in Rustic Forest (shown in message below).
My young friend has returned from Egypt and she stopped by with her mother, whom I also had never met before (just like the aunt). I noticed the mother was sporting the Dooney & Bourke Pebble Crossbody bag (A260501). I could hardly contain my delight! I said, "Dooney & Bourke!" She replied yes with a laugh. Then I asked, "QVC?" And once again she laughed heartily and said yes.
I shared that I have a couple of them and love their generous size, etc.
We bonded over our QVC-purchased Dooney & Bourke Crossbody bags. The aunt lives in Illinois, the mother in Indiana and I live in Virginia . We represent diverse areas of the U.S.

Years ago at work I got on the elevator wearing an Isaac scarf, a coworker commented on my scarf and asked where I got it, she was so excited she was a qvc addict!

Not to go OT, but speaking of clothing .... sorry about your wedding dress comments.
I wondered about the temperature that day. What surprised me is that I thought FL was humid all the time, and who would want to wear a long sleeved dress all day in serious humidity?

Tinkrbl44, I lived in Miami (South Florida) for about two years and lived through two Novembers there.
I'm talking 1972 - 74 here, but I recall that September was hot as blazes but that by November, I could wear some light knits. Not winter clothes -- those would be for the rare ONE DAY in February when temps would be cold enough for winter clothing.
So, the weather was in the 70s somewhere for Tiffany's big day. The material for the gown was lightweight and see-through, and so I think Tiffany chose well and with the weather in mind.
I remember admiring Ivanka's wedding gown so much, thinking it tasteful, but I like Tiffany's more.
