Re: QVC Programming is Stinko

I too think they are doing the best they can under the circumstances.  Clearly long ago the hosts really had to know their products as they didn't have a product rep on for every product and I am not sure why they feel lthe need to do it now.

I honestly am enjoying it more without some of the product reps being there.  Some I miss totally but in the end we are in tough times right now, I appreciate their live shows, I totally get Q2 and the 3rd channel going to recorded showings.

I did buy a Dooney purse the other night and cannot wait til it gets here.  Indulgent, maybe but I don't do it often so its all good.

I think we all need to lighten up on QVC during this particular time but then thats just me.

I do get it, this might be a time when they could recoup some losses if they played their cards right, but when did they ever play their cards right... Smiley Wink

I'd also note the 'lone wolf' host thing is pretty hard to watch... Shows just how badly some of the newer hosts, especially, are struggling to keep up without vendors and models to bounce off of...

One of the key facets of a business is to let potential customers know what items they will be featuring.  I check the programming guide and they either have the wrong info as to what they're airing or just "shopping."  Bad for business!

I understand @Spurt... Because at all costs, we must never, ever rock the boat around here... And to think, these boards used to be so much more fun...

Re: QVC Programming is Stinko

Agree QVC is the same tough situation the rest of us are.  But I don't understand why hosts not broadcasting remotely (except for Shawn who apparently is the only one who gets to call in with a drink in her pj's while someone else in studio hosting for her?!?!).  And they still have models.  They should be able to do that remotely too. And if you want to still sell products (but please do remote)  - maybe focus on less expensive items we actually need or can afford when so many folks losing their jobs?   Is this a good time for folks to be spending $300 on a vacuum? And plants they dont need?  And my pet peeve - QVC still charging S&H on most items - maybe a good time to offer free S&H????,  Bottom line - figure out how to broadcast remote and keep everyone safe.
