QVCs prices (especially on clothing) have gone up terrible before the merge. I don't buy any clothing on Q anymore unless its on sale OR I absolutely love something. Maybe if I still worked I could pay those prices. And I disagree that all clothing is more expensive everywhere as some said. I find quality clothing locally for much less. I honestly love everything (not just clothing) I got from QVC over many years. But no I'm not paying 50 to 60 some bucks for a top and 65 bucks and up for jeans to go to Dr appts, movies, and casual dinners. lol. Not worth it!

When they announced the man owning QVC bought HSN, I feared prices would go up on HSN. Very recently I studied a much needed new printer on HSN. By the time I had decided what would be perfect, it was sold out. I had no choice but to get it but this IDENTICAL printer on HSN was 89.99 and on QVC was $110.46........$20.47 difference on the very same machine. More and more I check EVINE and AMAZON for same products or similar. Don't fall for all the sales pitch.

@4leaf- Prices for the same items have always varied between the two shopping channels, long before the takeover.

For something like a printer, you did have a choice.  Whatever brand you bought, it wouldn't have been exclusive to either HSN or QVC, so you could've shopped around other retailers and probably gotten an even better price than HSN's of $89.99.  And most likely free shipping, if you bought it online!

We all have a choice.  There's no "sales pitch" that forces you to buy; it's called being an informed shopper.

I am not really sure if this is the best place to write about this but I am getting so frustrated regarding new apparel that qvc brings to us, for example the brand "Anybody".  You brings us great prices in the beginning and within a year or two pricing has totally gotten out of control to where a person can no longer afford to purchase anything.  It gets very frustrating.  It has happened with LOGO, Cuddlduds, Denim and company is quickly becoming to pricey.  I have always enjoyed being able to shop for my apparel on QVC but it's becoming less and less that I get to buy things.  I do not understand why Louis Delolio and Bob Mackey can keep the pricing of their beautiful apparel down but the others cannot

@4leaf

Qvc prices, I  have found, have always been higher on the same or comparable models of electronics. Been years since I have bought anything here.

Before the acquisition of hsn, that network not only had lower prices along with free shipping, but I also paid no state sales tax. Added up to lots of savings.

Right now? I only buy from either of these networks when I  cannot find the same or comparable item elsewhere.

Uh, QVC isn't the only place where prices have gone up.

Have you checked prices at the pump when you get gas?

That's gone up.

Have you checked the prices of food when you go grocery shopping?

That's gone up.

Have you checked the prices for household items?

Yup, that's gone up too.

So, QVC is hardly the lone wolf in prices going up.

Prices have gone up everywhere.

Think this thread made reference to online retail sales, not grocery stores/gas pumps(which many times is state tax increases). I grocery shop/buy household items, filled 1 of our vehicles with gas Friday on my way home from ice skating. Guess what? Gas was $.30 per gallon cheaper than the last refill. Why? You tell me!

Shop sales, when you are able to find something  you like, buy it. I save a lot like this

I have good luck ith my clothing from Q, it fits ,and it lasts. You can't say that about  every store ,that offers a cheaper price

Prices have gone up but QVC is pricing their clothing so high they are not competitive with most places given the quality. The 30 day return prevents me from buying anything that is electronic or might break.

All of Joan rivers tops are slowly climbing up and it’s cotten the cheapest fabric you can buy. All the prices have gone up and I’m sure they are losing a lot of the middle class customers.
