I hate the phone calls as well but it has nothing to do with Shawn's situation.

If people didn't read Shawn's blog or don't read her FB page, I'm not sure why anything would be said on air. It's not as if she'd made the announcement that she was pg and if people didn't read, they don't know what happened. Jill was in that situation but she made a one time announcement on air, asked that nothing be said about it and to my knowledge it never was.

I feel more sorry that she felt the need to make such an announcement because people were demanding an answer, making things up and speculating about what was going on.

And I am sure someone will do the same thing to Shawn. The phone calls really do need to go!

My guess is that when Shawn returns, there will not be any viewer phone calls. Not for a very long time. Because we all know how inconsiderate, inappropriate and selfish people can be. I don't know why QVC does it anyway. Those calls add nothing to the shows and sometimes, they are complete turn off.

I think the calls are just filler material for their hour on air.

anyone hear the caller when Nancy and the Diamond guy were on at 1pm....the Affinity show....she went on and on about how beautiful...well made...the diamonds are....then she asked if they were made in China...and kept asking....

Nancy and the gentleman seemed to be hedging...saying they couldn't read what it said on the Heart Cross necklace...and she continued on about the quality...how she had lots of high end diamonds...

She just would not stop....I had to change the channel...she was so over the top and annoying....but Nancy and the gentleman were very nice to her....even though I bet they would have liked to hang up on her.....

We do not need calls...ever....for any reason...

I also remember Jill's plea for privacy...her request was so heartfelt! I really hope that no calls get through to Shawn! I think that whole issue with viewer/buyer "phone calls" needs to go. I can't, in my wildest dreams, even imagine anyone wanting to talk to a host while the Q show is running! I have been asked by the CS and have always declined!

Plus they love bragging about number of grandchildren or something about family. Does not belong on a home shopping channel. The host will agree with any color you pick, or whatever. They may care, but they are limited.

With Carolyn today, some caller started to say something, and she said, we have to go.

We can read the reviews, don't need the calls.

Those testimonial calls are the MOST irritating thing on QVC. I don't even use the mute button on them. I just change channels and rarely go back to QVC unless it's something I'm really interested in.

They need to stop taking calls period. The calls serve no purpose. Some of the calls are sad, some are just ridiculous. Sometimes I cringe listening to them. Yep, time to lose the calls.
