QVC's outlet store is closing permanently at Rockvale in Lancaster, PA and will not be reopening in the Lancaster area at another outlet store as was posted on the forums.

All stores in the Rockvale outlet will be demolished and replaced with apartment buildings and some commercial suites.

A date hasn't been mentioned yet.  The outlet stores in West Chester and Florida will remain open.

Re: QVC Outlet store closing

Sorry to hear about this; we aren't that far from Rockvale Square, about an hour's drive.

Both DH and I enjoyed going there and visiting all of the stores.

We recently visited the Tanger Outlet; however, there were a lot of empty stores.  It was sad seeing that.

I hated to find this out. I enjoyed going and nosing around. Though it seemed like my size was always picked over on the clothes racks. I also loved when I would be able to see/feel things in person that I saw on air and thought I might order. I've saved some money doing this.

Though I've been to the Lancaster Outlet, when my daughter sister and I take a trip (1  1/2 hour away) to the Q outlet, it's the Frazer Outlet because it's closer.  We usually do the trip twice a year; once in the spring or summer and then again in the fall.  The QVC Studio store has been closed now for a few years and not reopening either.  Since the pandemic, the dressing rooms in the outlet are not open for trying on apparel any longer either, so unless you live close by and can try on at home and return, clothing purchases are minimal.

At one time, bus loads of tourists would go to the Studio Park for tours and to then the Studio store to browse or shop.  Afterwards, they would then make a trip to the Frazer Outlet, which is only a short drive away from the studio. I also believe there were bus trips to Lancaster outlet too, at one time.  Those trips, to my knowledge, have all stopped as well.

Re: QVC Outlet store closing

@sunshine45 Thanks for posting this information!

I have been shopping at this outlet since it opened in 1987! Can't believe it has been 36 years!

There are many of us "frequent shoppers" who are sad to see it go.

Have gotten many great bargains over the years!

The closing date seems to be a well-guarded secret.

If the employees know, they aren't talking.

I'll be there at least once a week until the end!Smiley LOL

@Major Shopper

i know how you feel!

i was a frequent shopper at the outlet in REHOBOTH BEACH.

when they said it was going to close i was so upset.

i got some GREAT bargains there. they had really nice jewelry deals, handbags, and clothes. i could come out of that store with ten clothing items and they would all together be under $100 at times.

there would be people waiting in line for that store to open sometimes, especially when they knew the trucks delivering jewelry had been there.

it will definitely be further to get to the frazer outlet if i decide to head up there from baltimore.

I shopped there, too, in RB.  The store was a mess (this was 20 years ago).  I was there for gold and only gold!  Wow, I'm still haunted by a solid (yellow) gold watch that I didn't buy.  I have it in white--wore it today, in fact.

Re: QVC Outlet store closing

Count me in as another RB Q outlet shopper.  Yes, the store was a mess, but I didn't care.  Found many great deals there.

I once bought a Louis Dell'Olio jacket in white for $8!  I had the pink, blue and black at the time and needed the white to complete my collection!  Woman LOL

I was also sad to see it close.

Be thankful you didn't get that watch.  I have collected white and yellow gold watches since I was a teen.  I have many vintage ones.

I saw a modern yellow gold 18k at the QVC outlet and splurged and got it.  It worked for a few years, then wouldn't run.

I took it to the jeweler I use to repair watches....an old timer who does fantastic work.  He showed me the inside of my watch.  It was nothing , but rust and made with cheap parts.

They put junk in an 18k gold case.  I chose not to replace the guts of the watch and just sold the gold.

I was extremely disappointed.  My good deal, turned out to be a rip off.  I never submerged my watch or intentionally got it wet.

My tip to you, do not get your watch damp, remove to wash your hands.

I hope yours continues to hold up and serves you well.
