@hckynutjohn

I concur.  A few weeks back on another thread I made a comment about the economic crisis this nation is facing and another poster (I don't even recall her name) replied, "there is nothing wrong with the economy".  I didn't even waste my breath responding.

Maybe QVC needs to get a Q card with 6 easy pays, LOL. But seriously, I am still ordering and doing my part to keep them in business. But if they do go under, my own bottom line will improve. That is what I SHOULD be worried about. QVC is not going to help me in my retirement after I have been contributing to all of theirs.

@SurferWife

Guess maybe it's just the gas/groceries/utilities/property taxes in my city that have gone up, on average, over 15%.

Those that are able to say "there is nothing wrong with the economy"? Are independently wealthy/not on a fixed income/never see their own bills, and never shop or fill their gas tanks.

I do all of the above, along with my wife, and!!!  Whomever said that in a post here is living in an alternate economy, somewhere I haven't heard about, in our country.

I don't see anything at all wrong with posters discussing the possible future of Qurate.

Many of us enjoy reading and analyzing the fiscal disclosures and have the right to post opinions as to possible outcomes after looking at the financial results.

It certainly is a popular topic garnering much commentary,  and there is surely nothing wrong with that.  No crystal ball required to interpret balance sheets and income statements.

If these discussions bother you, brace yourself for tomorrow,  be the outcome positive or negative.

@THEY CallMe Mr Wilkes  You and JohnnyEager are esp interested in reading and analyzing QVC's fiscal disclosures. 😉 😆

    @dmeasy    Maybe you should take the time to read about QVC's desperate financial state.  There was a good thread on the subject here yesterday.

    It's more serious than just missing a place to shop.  Thousands of people's jobs are on the line.

    It's more serious also to those on this board whose lives are wrapped up in QVC.

The Q was fine until they purchased HSN, it will take awhile for those balance sheets to get back to where it was before. My thing is that these companies acquiring businesses is done all the time and yes it does effect the business who has the most money. A lot of people are saying that but their biggest concern should be the failing of so many banks accross this country. The Q will be fine, and yes you always have to cut employees when this is done. We are in changing times that had a pandemic that the entire world had to shut down, J C Penney has had money problems and bad CEO 's for years. Some of these companies get people who don"t know retail, just like some of us on this blog.

I don't think the Q will leave....but, it will change....it already has!
