@cheriere ,  I haven't followed the entire thread, but do you mind me interjecting something that is apart from your subject matter?

I always notice "tone" and for lack of a better phrase, 'manner of interaction' on threads I read.  For better or worse, they're as important to me as the topic.

You have patience, and such a gracious way of trying to understand and respond to us posters, whatever we present.  That's a balm-- so refreshing--  and a skill, and shows character, discipline and intent.   Kudos!

That's all.

@Oznell  what a lovely post.  I too have always found @cheriere considerate, gracious, patient, and lovely to her fellow posters.  It's much appreciated.

Thank you 💝🌸. I feel the same way about your posts.

I think that's the kindest thing anyone's ever said to me.  I really appreciate it too.

I like and care about each and every person here in the forum.  I always want to try and understand different view points.  Sure, I've got angry at times, but I do get over things quickly and try to make back up lol.  I know we're all going to disagree at some point, but that doesn't mean we still can't be friends.

I am probably just outside the younger end of the average demo for QVC.  I am 5'9" tall.  My inseam is 32".  Most 3/4 sleeve tops for me are elbow length, like the one I have on today.  Most elbow length sleeves are just a short sleeve for me.  A long sleeve top?  I think I have three that actually come to my wrists.  It doesn't matter where I get my clothes from.  But, I have shopped in men's sections at box stores before just to have long sleeves that are long sleeves for me in the cold weather months.  As far as cost, I try to keep things reasonable.  I shop clearance most of the time.  Just not here but where ever I shop.

We have a lot in common lol.  I'm tall and probably close to your age.😃

I too am very selective with what fashion items I buy from QVC anymore because of the prices.  Most of what I like is made from fabrics that are commonly found at any store and usually for a lot less.  For this reason, I mainly shop clearance and really, really have to like it lol.😃

On a separate note, I know just what you mean about shirt sleeve lengths.  I must just have long arms.  It's so frustrating too!  As for inseams, NYDJ used to offer their regular lengths at 32 or 33, which made me so happy!  PLW jeans are often 33 inch regular inseam.  Those are the only two brands I can wear at the moment.
I find if I buy a tall in most brands, the crotch area is too long, if that makes sense.  I've actually received a pair of Isaac's jeans in talls where the crotch hung, but the legs were still too short.  It was so silly to see myself in the mirror.  I looked like a clown or something lol.😂

I appreciate your reading and posting your thoughts.  Thanks💝🌸

I do not think qvc is going for a younger audience either @cheriere .  Just with the fashion lines alone that they sell tells you they are not.  Frumpy looking, loud prints, swimdresses, what my daughters call "grandma clothes".  They do not sit and watch qvc on the television nor do their friends. That is not how they shop.

I'm in my 60's and I do not purchase clothes from qvc. Not my style.  I purchase from Venus, Boston Proper catalogs, have had great luck with Amazon and from the 2 boutiques in my town.

And you are correct.  qvc's high prices are unwarranted. You can find items for less elsewhere, with free shipping and easier returns.

Q talks about wanting younger customers. They will need to make some significant changes if they want really want this.

Younger is relative. That could mean 30s/40s or it could be 20s/30s. To me, anyone under 60 is younger

I know what you mean.  I'm finding what now qualifies to me as younger, significantly different than I thought before lol.😃💝🌸

@Oznell - I could not agree with you more regarding your comment about @cheriere. Always kind and respectful of others. It’s unfortunate when threads turn so negative towards each other. Some threads go completely off topic with posters arguing back and forth trying to get the last word. 😕

Thank you ❤️

I just love and think the world of you too.  You're always so kind.

I agree with you about threads getting negative.  I don't like when that happens either.  I wish some would realize that simply disagreeing about something doesn't automatically mean you dislike them.  This happens all the time with friends, but we get over it and don't think another thing about it.💝🌸
